Shane O'Connell

Shane O’Connell joined Cafico International as a Consultant – Aviation Corporate Services in 2025, bringing over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, with a particular focus on the asset finance and management sectors. 

He has held senior leadership roles across the global aviation finance landscape, most recently as CEO of a leading aircraft leasing company, where he oversaw the strategic direction, commercial growth and operational management of the platform. Shane’s extensive background includes originating and executing complex aircraft and engine sale and lease transactions, managing portfolio acquisitions and leading large, cross-border teams. 

Over the course of his career, Shane has partnered with major financial institutions, airlines, manufacturers and lessors and is highly regarded for his depth of knowledge and strong track record in aircraft leasing, asset finance and aviation ABS. 

At Cafico International, Shane serves as our lead Consultant – Aviation Corporate Services bringing extensive sector expertise to guide the firm and its clients across all aviation related transactions. He provides strategic insight into market developments, industry dynamics, and evolving trends within the global aviation landscape, helping clients make informed decisions with confidence. 

Shane plays a central role in supporting our aviation offering, working with teams across the business with his deep understanding of the aircraft leasing and aviation finance sectors.
