Shane O'Connell

Shane O’Connell joined Cafico International as Chief Financial Officer in 2025, bringing over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, with a particular focus on the aviation and asset management sectors.

He has held senior leadership roles across the global aviation finance landscape, most recently as CEO of a leading aircraft leasing company, where he oversaw the strategic direction, commercial growth and operational management of an international aviation platform. Shane’s extensive background includes originating and executing complex aircraft and engine sale and lease transactions, managing portfolio acquisitions and leading large, cross-border teams.

At Cafico International, Shane is responsible for driving the firm’s financial strategy and growth plans. He leads the expansion of our aviation client portfolio, leveraging his sector knowledge to identify new opportunities and deliver best-in-class services. In addition, Shane represents Cafico International in engagements with key industry partners and clients, ensuring the firm’s interests are well positioned in the market. His leadership will be instrumental in advancing Cafico International’s strategic ambitions and expanding its presence in the aviation finance sector.
