Small companies can calculate their preliminary tax due by either choosing:

  • 90% of their Corporation Tax liability for the current year.

Large companies

For large companies whose Corporation Tax liability is above €200,000, the second instalment of preliminary Corporation Tax is due on the 23rd of the eleventh month of the accounting period to bring the total preliminary tax payment to 90% of the final tax due for the current accounting period.

For companies with an accounting year end of 31 December, the preliminary Corporation Tax payment deadline is due to the Irish Revenue Commissioners on the 23rd November 2023.
