As part of our charity partnership programme with The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation, Team Cafico successfully climbed the 29th tallest mountain in Ireland during “Reek Week” in July 2019. A team of committed and dedicated participants made the journey to Westport, with the remainder of the Cafico staff rallying around with support and encouragement on social media.
Our Croagh Patrick climb team were highly fortunate with the weather for their much anticipated charity challenge, with sunshine and cool breezes helping to make it a spectacularly beautiful and relatively comfortable mission. Views of Clew Bay with it’s beautiful lush and glistening sandy-shored islands (“Ireland’s Maldives”), rewarded our intrepid climbers every time they stopped to catch their breath.
The biggest reward was the rising fund total on our Just Giving Fundraising page, which motivated the team hugely along their ascent. At time of writing, we have reached 70% of our target (over €3,500.00!) and the total is still rising.
The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation provides home nursing care to families with babies with severe developmental delay, brain damage and end of life care up to the age of 5 yrs. Every €16.00 raised will provide One Hour Home Nursing Care for families who need it.
