Location: Ennis, Co. Clare
This role has great career advancement prospects to become a key part of a well-rewarded finance team that offers accounting, financial reporting and regulatory and statutory reporting services to a broad range of managed clients. You will have responsibility for managing the overall delivery of accounting and compliance services to a varied portfolio of clients.
Responsibilities
Manage on-boarding of clients and set-up of structures for delivery of tailored services in accordance with individual client requirements.
Manage the on-going client relationship and delivery of client services.
Manage a team of accountants to deliver:
Monthly/quarterly management accounts;
Statutory financial statements;
Consolidated financial statements;
Audit packs and support the external audit process;
Payroll processing;
VAT, PAYE/PRSI and Corporation Tax returns;
Bank reconciliations and monitor cash flows; and
Managed accounts payables and accounts receivables functions of client companies.
Maintain contact with clients’ management teams to obtain the required information for reporting purposes, meeting deadlines and serving our clients’ needs.
Report directly to the boards of client companies and prepare board presentations.
Key Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA).
Knowledge of Irish GAAP and IFRS.
2.2 honours degree or equivalent from a third level educational institution.
8 years +PQE commercial enterprise or practice experience with exposure to all aspects of the finance and accounting function.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (manipulation of large datasets).
Ability to coordinate well with clients and other various service providers.
Display an ability to take responsibility and ownership of client matters from an early stage, with an ability to manage workflow and prioritise matters accordingly.
Excellent people management experience, with strong delegation skills.
Self-starter, detail oriented, highly organised, motivated and has strong ability to self-solve problems.
Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
